Phoenix Law is expanding its Library
department and is seeking an Educational Services Law Librarian. The Educational Services Law Librarian will
have a variety of duties that include teaching legal research sessions,
providing reference service, and preparing instructional materials. The new Librarian will also help to
coordinate exhibits, create research guides and promotional displays for the
library. The Educational Services Law Librarian serves on the Collection
Development Team and works closely with others to enhance collection use by
students and Phoenix Law’s Faculty scholars.
As
one of a team of six librarians, the Educational Services Law Librarian
participates in the evening and weekend reference rotation. Our new librarian
will also assist in developing library policies and procedures. Depending on
the experience and interests of the candidate, and on the needs of the library,
the new Librarian will participate in
basic and advanced legal research instruction, online training, Lawyering
Process liaison program (commonly known as Legal Research and Writing), library
tours, and other educational programs.
This position should be of interest to
someone who wants broad exposure to a new and emerging academic law library. Candidates who are flexible and interested in
assisting with a wide range of duties will be preferred.
