SummaryDevelop and make available information resources and databases for the DRC, NED, CIMA and World Movement web sites. Design and conduct training on library and Internet research resources for NED staff, fellows, grantees, and other democracy researchers and activists. The position reports to the Director of the Democracy Resource Center (DRC).
Principal Duties:
Knowledge and Skill Level:The position requires a Master's degree in Library Science (MLS), at least 5 years of library experience and a working knowledge of Inmagic products (Presto, Genie, DBTextworks), and DreamWeaver. A background or experience in international affairs, particularly in democratic development, is highly preferred. Familiarity with SQL is desirable. Knowledge of knowledge management practices, systems administration, JavaScript, XML and HTML, and CSS, and Web 2.0 is expected. Demonstrated knowledge of database development and web interface strategies is expected.
