Require:  PhD or Masters at time of appointment in Library Sciences from an accredited ALA institution

Full-Time non-tenured position, 8-5, M-F, report to Director of the Geophysical Institute; salary commensurate with experience

Full term faculty position provides specialized user-centered reference and collection management services to support the research programs in space physics, remote sensing, volcanology, atmospheric sciences, seismology, glaciology, snow, ice, and permafrost at this international research facility.

Librarian is responsible for all aspects of the library, including budget.  Candidate should have at least 3-5 years in a special library setting working in reference with scientific research materials and collection development.  Participating in national and international library organizations is important in this position for scholarly publishing opportunities and library information networking.
