 Director of Library Services – Anticipated 2010

Huntington University anticipates an opening for Director of Library Services. The Director of Library Services manages all personnel and activities of the library and its subsidiary functions providing a clear vision for the direction of the library that reflects the mission of both Huntington University and RichLyn Library.  The Director is a voting member of the Huntington University faculty and reports to the Vice President and Dean of the University. 

Other responsibilities include:  library personnel, library budget, collections and services consistent with acceptable professional collection development practices, and serves on committees as needed. The Director cooperates with and, as appropriate, is a participating member of local, regional, and state libraries and networks.  It is expected that the Director has a working knowledge concerning library related information technology. Continuing education as appropriate through statewide or regional workshops is expected.
