 COASTAL RESOURCE SHARING NETWORK
System Administrator Position

We are extending our search for a Systems Administrator to November 6, 2009.

The basics:  This is a full-time, 40 hours, salaried and exempt position. The schedule is basically Monday through Friday but needs to be flexible from time to time to accommodate system upgrades, reports, problems and other issues as they arise. The salary range is $49,000 - $60,000. Benefits: full family health, dental, & vision, long-term disability and life insurance, excellent retirement plan,  Sick leave and vacation leave accumulate as specified in the personnel policy but begin at 12 days per year.  Mileage paid at the IRS rate.  Oregon Library Association and other library association related memberships are paid.  Attending some conferences is encouraged and paid for by CRSN.

A little about us:  The Coastal Resource Sharing Network is a consortium of libraries on the central Oregon Coast that share an ILS.  All of our public and community college libraries are fairly small but together we are able to create an excellent system of libraries and provide great library services in our two counties, Tillamook and Lincoln counties.  The area has a lot to offer for those who enjoy a fairly mild coastal climate, outdoor activities, all areas of the arts and friendly, rural communities.  (sample for Lincoln County - http://coastvisitor.com/ , sample for Tillamook County - http://www.tillamoo.com/  and a sample of general information - http://visittheoregoncoast.com/ )

Some job expectations:  The person in this position will be the person who keeps our system running but can get help from library staff in most of the libraries that are a part of CRSN.  The more training this person gives to staff the more help they will have with running the system.  The system administrator is responsible for keeping aware of the needs of the system and keeping up-to-date in the field.  This includes system upgrades, catalog website development, working with pc’s and thin clients, and knowing when telecommunication upgrades are needed and feasible and making recommendations to the CRSN Board.
