I wanted to share these sites that I came across. Epodunk seems to be broader in scope than some others, and besides you gotta love the name!
http://www.epodunk.com/And I saw an article that reminded me I'd seen this and thought it valuable. The Census Bureau has state data centers that are really good resources,
http://www.census.gov/sdc/www/ Weird, but it really does end in "www"
And finally a news article that my new state, Nevada, continues to attract new residents in spite of drops in annual job growth- from 6% in 2006 to ONE percent by late 2007 and a 1.2% jump in unemployment. (from the Las Vegas Review Journal) One caveat about unemployment numbers: the numbers cooks in the administration have fluid and creative ways of defining and counting unemployed people.....
What is it like where you are looking for a position?
