I had a phone interview this morning for a library tech one reference position at a university that went incredibly well. I felt like we got on like a house afire! All the excitement and interest that I left library school with was completely returned by this interviewer. I had just begun to feel very burned out on the job search, and trying to stay atop this discouragement. I got so much encouragement and understanding from this librarian that I have a hard time not weeping in relief over it! I (perhaps unwisely?) even said that if this doesn't work out I would like to volunteer on a project that she mentioned.....
Wow did I ever need this experience. Now I can hoist my skirts and renew my efforts.

Congratulations! And good luck. You need those moments where you just "click" with other librarians (interviews or otherwise!) to renew your spirits sometimes :).

I second the congrats! I have been applying for jobs for 7 months now and I have been on several great inteviews recently and I have a few more coming up. It makes such a difference to get great feedback and having a successful interview does great wonders for anyone especially when you feel the burnout :) I think this forum is a great place to not only ask the "important" career questions but also to lift up and encourage others in their job hunt. Thanks for sharing :)
