If you haven't explored all the resources available on LISjobs.com, here are a few that will be most useful to job seekers.

Did you know?

* LISjobs.com (with libraryjobpostings.org) provides the largest database of library job postings on the net -- FREE to both job seekers and employers. Find a job or post a job.

* You can subscribe to job RSS feeds from multiple sites. Find a list or download a single OPML file at LISjobs.com.

* If you're geographically constrained, you can access job postings, job banks, and individual libraries' listings for specific states at LISjobs.com's "Jobs by State" page. (Searching outside the US? Check out non-US job banks here.)

* You can post your resume online at LISjobs.com for a nominal fee -- create your own account and upload your Word, PDF, and/or HTML resume rather than being constrained to a predetermined database format. (Check out others' resumes here.)

* Other nationwide job banks (at library schools, journals, associations) are listed here.

LISjobs.com is easily one of the best sites for job postings. For jobs in academic libraries, The Chronicle of Higher Ed (search for "librarian") and the ALA joblist are great resources as well.

I've found the Libjobs listserv at IFLA to have quite a few good postings.

You can subscribe here: http://infoserv.inist.fr/wwsympa.fcgi/subrequest/libjobs.

Or, if you want to go really crazy, you can check out my Del.icio.us page where I spent countless hours bookmarking the employment pages of libraries all throughout America and some worldwide. They're all organized by state (or country, where applicable), so if you know where you want to work, it might be worth looking at. Some libraries only post their openings on their city's human resources page, so some of the links will take you to city sites rather than the library's actual website. There are also some independent school sites listed and they should all be labeled as such. The rest are mostly public library sites.

The ALA has a Job Hunting Resource Guide that folks might find valuable. Here it is:
