Hi everyone,

I'm applying for an academic librarian position at a two year college, which requires submitting my teaching philosophy.

I am a former high school teacher, so the concept isn't entirely new to me. However, I am a bit flummoxed as to how to apply this in a library context: teaching people how to access information vs. teaching mastery of a subject area.

Can any other former teachers/current librarians perhaps discuss some of the similarities and differences between the two?

Thanks for reading.
